I was born and raised in Northern New Jersey to a single mother. I had contact with my father but he was in and out of jail and our life. I moved to Virginia at the age of 16 to stay out of trouble and to concentrate on finishing high school and go to college. I went to college, failed out and then tried again and ended up graduating. I then went to law school and that when I discovered my calling to become a therapist. I left law school and then started/completed my Masters in human services. I then began a clinical mental health masters and had to stop; I then began a doctoral degree in psychology and had to stop. I recently started back with my Masters and my doctorate and intend on getting both. I state all of this because I want you all to know that I write not just to write, but as a love letter to those who need love. A hug to those who need a hug; I friend's advice to those who need advice and mentoring to those who need mentorship. I have ben blessed to have all of these things along my journey and my hope is to become that for all of you who open the pages of my books and read. Be blessed.
